In Search of Happy Endings

A fantasy webcomic by Megan Jones, updated irregularly (usually somewhere between weekly and monthly). Rated WEB-14 for somewhat realistic violence and language and semi-skillful use of sharp pointy things.

About ISOHE:

Being happy with your life isn't a sure thing, even if you're a legendary hero, with all the mystic powers and ballads about your exploits that that implies. (For one thing, those ballads might be a blessing or a curse, depending on the minstrel.)

In this webcomic, a halfway-competent mercenary, a gentleman scholar, and an indestructible princess get to deal with rescues gone wrong, troll infestations, and snooty elven ambassadors... well, that's how their story begins, anyway.

Here you will find fantasy, action, drama, and a bit of humour. The main focus is on the storyline and the characters, so it's very much recommended that you start at the beginning and work your way through the archives to the current comic. (If you don't feel like doing that, you can catch up by reading the Story Summary page.)

A treestump and a sword.

July 27, 2007: Switch to full-page format. I hope that the extra drawing space will result in better drawings. Also, I have finally made a CGWiki page for ISOHE.

November 24, 2006: Minor change to the title image. You know, the one at the top of this page. Since I've now switched to black-and-white art, I figured that having a colour title image would be false advertising. Also, I was never really happy with the old Chant picture (still available in the Gallery for your viewing pleasure), though the old Iaren one remains one of my favourites.
